Every year for Mother’s Day, my dad, my eight siblings and I treat my mom to decadent pastries from this charming European Café called Ettore’s, and of course shower her with fresh blooms. It’s a tradition we all look forward to; I love seeing the smile on my mom’s face as she takes a bite of her fruit tart and smells her spring bouquet. But this year, we’re not able to crowd around the table at Ettore’s or meet in person for hugs.
